We are a UK based, full fibre provider that is rolling out a new 1 gigabit per second broadband network to homes and businesses across the UK.
With an average broadband speed of 64mbps, the UK is ranked amongst the lowest in Europe for its poor internet connectivity and we are here to change this by delivering a betternet. The role
The NOC team is primarily responsible for monitoring network performance and identifying potential issues, and work closely with other teams within brsk to resolve any issues in a timely manner. NOC help to identify and improve existing monitoring methods to ensure we have visibility into how our network and systems are performing,
As a NOC Engineer you will work closely with our field based team rolling out new infrastructure such as access POPs. Working with the wider team you will contribute to improving our existing processes and help develop new ones to make us more efficient.
We operate both an access network and an ISP network and ideally you will have some experience in an SP environment, however at a minimum you should have supported production networks. We make use of a lot of different technologies such as XGS-PON, MPLS and BGP. NOC also provides some support for our platforms, these are primarily Linux based and are deployed both in AWS and on-prem. Some experience with Python would be useful.
This role is a great chance to come into an experienced team and learn the technologies and skills involved in building and operating a service provider network.
The role involves working shifts and taking part on an on-call rota (paid on top of your salary).
