Night Lead / Senior Night Care Assistant
Location: Boultham Park House, Lincoln, Lincolnshire
Pay rate: £11.97 * per hour
*New Pay Rate from 1st April 2023
plus weekend and NVQ enhancements available
Contracted Hours: 30 hours – Part time
Shift Pattern: 2100 – 0700

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our care teams make a real difference every day and your professionalism, teamed with kindness and compassion, will be at the core of everything you do. Leading a small team of carers, you’ll be responsible for keeping wakeful watch on the security and safety of our residents and the home in general. You’ll ensure that care plans are regularly reviewed, understanding the importance of maintaining accurate records, and will be able to manage the time of both yourself and your team effectively to support the wellbeing of our residents. You’ll understand that some shifts might be challenging, but you’ll also laugh, have fun and make lasting memories with our residents.

A NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care is essential.
You’ll have NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care, or you’ve achieved NVQ Level 2, and you’re prepared to study for NVQ Level 3. You’ll also be experienced in leading a team to deliver care, be keen to progress to a role with greater levels of responsibility and be willing to undertake relevant training to support your career development in a nurturing, engaging and rewarding environment.
Boultham Park House is a 34 bed Care Home situated in Boultham Park, Lincoln. The home offers residential and dementia care in a comfortable, homely setting. We’re rated 9.7 by Carehome.co.uk and GOOD by the Care Quality Commission.

All candidates will be required to have an enhanced DBS which is on the update service. All offers are conditional upon satisfactory background checks.
ABOUT YOU
You’ll have strong experience as a carer in a care setting with the ability to relate to our residents in a caring and sensitive manner. You might have previous supervisory experience, like delegating tasks, supporting inductions for new starters and 1 to 1s but this is not essential.
What is important is you are a positive role model, with excellent communication skills and a natural ability to get along with others. A supportive individual, able to motivate others to deliver the best possible care to our residents at all times. Alongside being confident taking charge and being able to use your own initiative to resolve problems and deal with queries.
