Working in a Children's Residential Home with 1-2 children age 14+ from 7pm - 7am.
Responsibilities may include:
- Preparing and serving meals at the appropriate time
- Administering oral and topical medication under the supervision of medical personnel
- To provide advice, assistance and support to young people. To attend to their practical, physical and emotional needs. To act as an appropriate role model and to work closely with them to enable them to address their difficulties and achieve their optimum potential.
- Collaborating with other health care and social care professionals to provide the best possible care
- To oversee and complete household chores
- Complete paperwork
- Completely nightly checks and ensure that the children are in bed.
Skills needed for the role may include:
- Empathy and sensitivity
- Tact and discretion
- Excellent communication
- Customer service and interpersonal
- Thoroughness and attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm in stressful situations
- Good team spirit
- Ability to take the initiative
Desirable Qualifications include Level 3 or above in Residential Childcare, completed AWIF and signed up to Social Care Wales. However, willing to accept candidates who are willing to work towards these.

Salary: £10.00 per hour

- 12 hour shift
- Night shift
- Overtime
