Your role and responsibilities
An exciting opportunity has arisen for passionate and enthusiastic animal lovers to join our vibrant Night Nursing Team as Nursing Assistants working in our busy, purpose-built referral centre that is fully equipped with the surgical equipment and diagnostic facilities commensurate with a flagship specialist veterinary clinic. The positions will involve all aspects of animal care of inpatients across a wide range of disciplines including critical care.
In a typical night you can expect assist the Nurses with inpatient care, administering oral medication, monitoring and recording accurately, feeding and walking as well as ensuring the wards and kennels are cleaned and restocked.
Veterinary or animal experience is preferred, which needs to be shown within your CV or covering letter.
You will be highly organised and have a passion and drive for delivering outstanding client and patient care. You will be a team player who enjoys working in a supportive working environment whilst also being able to use your initiative and challenge the status quo.
Please note this position is full time (37.5 hours), working 12 hour shifts between the hours of 18.00 and 06.00, on a rota basis of 4 nights on (working) and 5 nights off.
