Care Assistant – Night Duty
RESPONSIBLE TO THE PROPRIETORS
ROLE:‑
- To share with other staff in meeting the personal care needs of residents at night in a way that respects the dignity of the individual and promotes independence.
- To help in the care of the residents' physical environment and in the general routine at night.
- Responsibility is to the Night Senior in charge
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:‑
- Assist residents who need help with dressing, undressing, bathing and toilet.
- Help residents with poor mobility and other physical disabilities, including incontinence and help in the use of and care of aids and personal equipment.
- Care for resident’s temporarily sick and needing minor dressings and bed nursing care.
- Help care for residents who are dying.
- Make and change beds, tidy rooms and do light cleaning
- Inspect, launder and mend residents clothing.
- Set tables and trays, during the night. Help residents who need assistance with drinks or light snacks as required through the night.
- Answer emergency bells, the door and the telephone, greet visitors.
- Read and write reports, take part in the staff and residents meetings.
- Participate in internal and external training courses and other training activities as directed.
- Accompany residents on outings or appointments as necessary.
- Make yourself aware of all the Policies and Procedures within the home. The Files are available at all times in the Office.

Salary: £10.51 per hour

- Bradford: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Experience:
- Care home: 1 year (preferred)
