We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Bioinformatics Genomics STP trainee to join the Customer Workflows team for 6 weeks, to fulfil the elective component of the STP.
The successful candidate will join our team of Bioinformaticians and carry out a piece of development work. Potential projects include but are not limited to:
- Automated testing
- Application of real-time analysis to existing post-run workflows
- Improvements to visualisation and reporting framework
The Customer Workflows team is responsible for development and maintenance of Nextflow workflows which help our customers get the most out of their sequencing projects. We maintain a coherent set of analysis software tools for end users of ONT's sequencing platforms with a particular focus on the planning, development, testing, documentation, and deployment of analysis code.
The successful applicant will be supervised by an HCPC-registered Clinical Bioinformatician who will support completion of elective competencies.
