The Goole Times and Selby Times, two paid-for weekly newspapers in Yorkshire, are looking for a motivated reporter to join their busy newsrooms.
The successful applicant will have an excellent command of written English and be able to work accurately and to deadlines.
Ideally, you will be a graduate in journalism or have NCTJ qualifications. But those with a passion for news and writing will also be considered, if examples of work can be supplied at time of applying.
This position is best suited for a graduate fresh out of university or someone looking to start their career in the newsroom of a busy local newspaper.
The post is for 37.5 hours per week and could be based at our Goole office and occasional evening and weekend work may be required.
Consideration could also be given to the post being for 30 hours (4 days) per week. Please specify this in your application.
A good knowledge of the local area would be an advantage. A full driving licence and own vehicle is required.

Salary: £19,000.00-£21,000.00 per year
