Human Resource Manager - UK, Ireland, Sweden & Canada

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Human Resource Manager to join our team. As the HR Manager, you will be responsible for managing human resources functions in the UK, Ireland, Sweden, and Canada. This is a challenging and exciting role that requires excellent interpersonal skills, strong knowledge of HR practices, and the ability to navigate employment law regulations in multiple jurisdictions. In addition, external support in relation to employment law in Sweden and Canada will be available to you.

Key Responsibilities:

Employee Relations and Engagement:

- Serve as a trusted advisor and resource for employees and managers in the UK, Ireland, Sweden, and Canada on HR policies, procedures, and practices.

- Manage employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans.

- Implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement and promote a positive work culture.

HR Strategy and Planning:

- Collaborate with the wider HR team to establish best practices and policies across all regions.

- Analyse HR metrics to identify trends and provide insights for decision-making.

Training and Development:

- Identify training needs and coordinate the delivery of training programs for employees across all regions.

- Support the development and implementation of performance management processes and tools.

- Facilitate career development discussions and succession planning initiatives.

Compliance and Legal Support:

- Stay informed about changes in legislation and proactively update HR policies and practices to maintain legal compliance.

- Provide guidance and support to managers on employee relations matters related to employment law (external legal support in Sweden and Canada to ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.)

Compensation and Benefits:

- Collaborate with the ELT, Local Managers, and wider HR team to develop and administer competitive compensation and benefits programs for employees in the respective regions.

- Complete the monthly upload of payroll administration for UK & Ireland, review and approve payroll submission from local payroll administrator in Canada.

- Stay updated on market trends and benchmarking data to ensure the organization remains competitive in attracting and retaining top talent.

- Assist with the annual performance review process and provide guidance on compensation adjustments.

Recruitment and Selection:

- Collaborate with Recruitment and & Onboarding manager for Recruitment within the UK, Ireland, Sweden, and Canada.

- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and provide guidance were required.

- Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations related to recruitment and onboarding.

Qualifications and Skills:

- CIPD Level 5 Qualified, or Equivalent

- Strong working knowledge of Excel

- Proven experience as an HR Generalist or Manager, preferably in an international context.

- In-depth knowledge of employment laws and regulations, UK & Ireland

- Strong understanding of HR best practices, policies, and procedures.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.

- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

- High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information.

- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

- Proficient in HRIS systems and other HR-related software.

This role can be predominately home working - visit to office approx. once a month (or you can work from there every day if you prefer)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
