PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The All Age Disability Service (0-25) service provides a comprehensive and integrated social care pathway for children and young people with Learning Disabilities and other disabilities from childhood into adolescence and on into adulthood through a seamless care pathway.

To be responsible for providing comprehensive and effective integrated social work service to respond to the needs of children and young people with Learning Disabilities and other disabilities in accordance with Children’s and Adults’ legislation, departmental policies and practice.

To undertake strength based social care assessments, determining the need of an individual and producing outcome focussed support plans. Ensuring focused interventions are delivered to safeguard children and young people and promote independence, positive outcomes and promote the use of assistive technology.

Qualified Social Work and Occupational Therapy role salary ranges (April 2021 pay scales)

Social Workers & Occupational Therapists £38,148-£45,381

Deputy Team Manager & Senior Practitioners £42,336-£49,428

Senior Practitioners (out of hours) £44,364- £51,444

Team Managers £46,392- £53,490

Other qualified support role salary ranges:

Residential Care Officers £27,993- £31,716

Assistant Practitioners

Waking Nights Residential Care Officers £31,155-£34,062

AYSE (Qualifying Year)

Residential Care Officer Shift Leads £34,671- £40,632

Annual Leave entitlement, which starts from 27 days and can rise to 36 days dependent on your job grade and the length of continuous service
