Job description
Are you?
- Due to qualify in 2023
- Keen to secure a permanent position
- Interested in working in the County Borough of Bridgend
- Available for work prior to registration
- Passionate about working with children, young people, and their families
- Committed to achieving high standards of practice
Why now?
We have traditionally appointed social work students and where they are available to take up duties prior to becoming a Registered Social Worker, offered appointments as Social Work Assistants.
The only difference is that this year we are doing it sooner and making the appointment process easier, informative, and accessible. Simply, all you need to do to progress your application is to arrange to speak to a member of our social care workforce team.
How can I find out more?
If you are interested, please email [email protected] to express an interest in a social work role.
A member of the team will arrange a mutually convenient time to have an informal discussion with you about your area of social work interest and the opportunities available. An interview can then be planned.
You can also learn about our award-winning induction programme for Newly Qualified Social Workers and how we can support you while undertaking your first steps in your professional social work career.
This is also an opportunity for you to find out about the following stages, the interview process and ask any other questions you may have.
Protecting children, young people or adults at risk is a core responsibility of all council employees.
Applicants should note that a criminal record check by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) will be necessary for the successful applicants.
