The Program

CloserStill Media is proud to present the 2023 Graduate Program. The leading opportunity in the events industry for paid work experience. It will be competitive and fun and ultimately give you knowledge & skills that you will take with you to kickstart your career. At CSM, we firmly believe in promoting from within and nurturing our own talent before looking externally. With almost half our current London workforce having started in our own delegate sales department or previous editions of the progamme, the evidence speaks for itself. Program Highlights

  • 8 weeks of work experience at one of the leading event companies in Europe.
  • A chance to hone & find new skills in a range of our main departments, Marketing & Content, Digital, Data, Operations, and Sales.
  • You are going to get paid! The equivalent of £20,400 per annum is pro-rated across the 8 weeks.
  • All those who are successful with their application to the program will get the chance to interview for a permanent role at Closerstill Media at the end of the 8 weeks.

What to expect.

During your 8 weeks with us, you will work alongside some highly experienced members of the event industry, being able to learn from them and see what it takes to make it as an Events Professional. Alongside this, you will be a part of a group of graduates all going through the same process and experiences, with the chance to build lasting professional & personal relationships. Responsibilities in the role will include but are not limited to:

Operations – Our operations team are the cogs that keep our event machines running. Everything you see & hear at our events will have been organised via the operations team. They deal with floorplans, builds & breakdowns, educational speakers, stage building, audio equipment and much, much more. A keen eye for detail and strong organisational skills are cornerstones of this department.

Sales – Our sales team sell two things; stand space and sponsorships, and they are pretty good at it! Their primary goal is, of course, to drive revenue, but they do this by giving a platform to industry-leading businesses to connect with the people that they want to connect with. From powerhouses to start-ups, our sales team will bring them into the fold and give them the best package possible.

Marketing – Our marketing team are the driving force behind the events, providing insight into all the benefits of attending, not just for the visitors but also for the exhibitors. Utilising a wide range of channels from paid Google ads to good old-fashioned email campaigns & physical posts. The marketing teams for each event are deeply passionate about their product and always strive to increase the audience & exhibitor numbers at the events.

Content – Our content team are indeed an expert in their chosen industry. One of the most fantastic parts of our events is the continuing world-class lineup of speakers that we provide time & time again. These speakers are all sources and vetted by the content. They have their finger on the pulse and know exactly what the industry needs to hear at our events.

Digital – Our digital team are our newest department, and they hit the ground running back in 2020. At CSM, we always want to improve, and by embracing the new digital age that we are moving into, we hope to stay one step ahead of the competition. The digital team provide support, guidance & expertise across all shows and departments on our digital platforms. This includes both external and internal.

Data – Our data team is small yet very, very mighty! One of our best assets as a business is the vast amount of data we possess. How this is managed & utilised is of the utmost importance. Through CRMs, Salesforce and our own unique visitor database, the data team have their hands full. Data is fast becoming one of the most valuable things in the world, and we aim to follow this trend.

PLEASE NOTE!!

Assessment days will take place on the 5th & 6th of June at our London office anyone selected to join the program will receive a call on or before the 9th of June.
