Network Engineer
Fleet, Hampshire
As a Barclays Network Engineer, you will have an exciting chance to be supporting a Cisco, F5, Fortigate and Bluecoat on prem and cloud bases network and Network security solutions, to ensure internal Corporate, Data Centre, Acquirer and Customer networks. You will be a part of the team that ensures services are managed and maintained to a high standard. For this opportunity you may be required to be on call as well as carry out occasional Datacentre visits.

What will you be doing?
- Working within the infrastructure team delivering installation of new equipment, capacity planning, documentation, monitoring, mentoring, troubleshooting and problem solving
- Designing work and helping the business to decide on best solutions for their problems
- Liaising closely with security engineering, architecture engineers, product management, incident and change teams to manage, maintain and develop network solutions
- Supporting the business to deliver all requests and projects, identify and resolve all issues that are raised by the business through service desk request
- Identifying Network Management support tools through analysis of trends
- Ensuring Internal and Client SLA’s are met
- Maintaining and advising network security to internal departments and clients
- Working with Architecture, Project Managers, Development and Service Managers, and Payment Gateway Support to ensure project delivery meets the estate requirments
What we’re looking for:
- Cisco CCNA Certification
- Working knowledge of F5 LTM and DNS
- Exposure to the following technologies, Cisco NX-OS, Firewalls
- Experience providing operational technical support to critical systems supporting major blue-chip customers in a 24/7 managed services /data centre environment within an ITIL framework
Skills that will help you in the role:
- Cisco CCNP Certification
- F5 LTM & DNS Certification
- Experience working with the following technologies, Cisco Firepower, Palo Alto Firewalls, IDS, IPS & Solarwinds, Blue Coat
- Experience with Network Automation using Jenkins, Ansible and Python
Where will you be working?
Situated in the heart of Fleet, Logic house is easily accessible by both public and personal transport. Located less than 5 minutes’ drive from the M3. Parking is provided for permanent staff based at Logic House and regular trains arrive to Fleet with the train station being directly opposite the Logic House.
