We currently have a fantastic opportunity available for a Network Asset Manager to join our Drinking Water Services team based in Redruth. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis, and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £32,000 - £37,000 per annum plus a range of excellent company benefits + rewards.
About the role:
As our Network Asset Manager you will monitor the performance of Drinking Water Services assets through review and reporting via operational tools, systems and field information sources.
You will oversee the technical planning and delivery of all developer and capital investment schemes in the areas of infrastructure and non-infrastructure within the alliance.
What you’ll be doing:
- Monitoring the performance of the Drinking Water Service network inclusive of mains pipes, water pumping stations and service reservoirs and regularly reviewing asset maintenance plans, identifying where asset improvements are required and preparing and submitting the necessary ‘Investment Manager’ funding applications.
- Helping to control and manage operational budgets (Opex, Capex, Totex), tracking, reporting, correcting to align to financial challenges as they arise
- Maintaining all documentation in accordance with company procedures and contributing to ongoing improvement in line with Quality Management Systems (QMS)
- Working closely with the planning team regarding field staff levels required to meet peaks and troughs
- Liaising with all stakeholders to ensure work is carried out with minimum impact, including but not limited to: Developers, Alliance partners, The Environment Agency, DWI, Highway Authorities, local Councils, community groups, businesses and customer groups
- Providing key support to the Drinking Water Services function in the event of emergencies
- Managing the AWS team ensuring adequate cover and compliance with driving rules and the provision of AWS support to network activity specifically outages both planned and reactive
- Responding to technical enquiries and provide technical information where required
- Deputising for the Area Operations Manager, Network Team Manager as requested/required
- Participating in an appropriate standby where required at a minimum of 1:5
What we are looking for:
- 5 GCSEs or equivalent including Maths and English
- Full UK driving license
- Supervisory/Management qualification and experience (Desirable)
- Attainment of IOSH and NEBOSH and Signing Lighting and Guarding, or ability to complete
- Significant experience of working in either a customer service or commercial delivery team
- Excellent oral, written and presenting skills to enable communication with the team through a variety of channels
- Participation in a structured standby rotation
- Relevant experience in water distribution and management or similar utility experience (Desirable)
- Technical competency and understanding in hydraulics / water supply systems or other utilities (Desirable)
