We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 4 Assistant Psychologist to join the Surrey & Borders NHS Foundation Trust in the Children and Young People’s (CYPS) EmotionalWellbeing and Mental Health Service. You will be joining at a very exciting time, as our services transform to adopt the Thrive Framework in close collaboration with the Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust and the Surrey Wellbeing Partnership.
The successful applicant will join a well-established multi-disciplinary CYPS Community Team (formerly CAMHS) in South West Surrey. Whilst ensuring that children, young people and families are at the centre of decision making to promote person centred care and outcomes, you will be responsible for supporting assessments andmanualised interventions under the direction and supervision of a qualified Clinical Psychologist, who will retain clinical responsibility for clinical work carried out.
You will have opportunity to participate in goal-based support (mainly group work), outcomes, service audit, service development and evaluation, and to undertake project work under the supervision of a qualified psychologist.

We are looking to recruit toone full-time positionsbased in Guildford/Frimley (South West Surrey).
- To support and enhance the professional psychological care of people who use services by providing psychological assessment and psychological interventions, under the supervision of a qualified clinical psychologist working within the service, and by working independently according to a plan agreed with the team leader and the supervising psychologist.
- To assist in clinically related administration, conduct of audits, collection of outcome statistics, and/or other project work as appropriate and agreed with the team leader and supervising psychologist.
We actively seek to engage people who use our services and our communities in improving the mental wellbeing of the local population. We work closely with other NHS and voluntary sector organisations who provide services and support people who use services and carers.
Surrey is a beautiful county lying just 30 minutes away from Central London and from the South Coast.
Our historic market towns and bustling districts are enveloped in wonderful countryside, and our excellent road and rail networks bring the rest of the country within easy reach.
For international travel, both Gatwick and Heathrow airports are nearby.
