Network Administrator
THIS IS A 4-6 MONTH CONTRACT ROLE WITH ON SITE WORKING IN WOKINGHAM AND FROM HOME

The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, network administrator to join our team. You will be working on one of our customers sites in Wokingham, supporting a wide range of network and wireless infrastructure.
As a network administrator, you should have a solid technical background in both wireless and networking, combined with excellent customer service experience. A problem-solving attitude with the ability to work individually and as part of a technical team.
The Person
You will have at least 3 years in a previous networking role, with experience in working ticket queues, managing SLAs, and providing technical solutions. You can speak confidently to both technical and business users and translate customer requirements into solutions. You are keen to learn new skills and products with a genuine passion for wireless and networking technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
· Implement OPCO global network solutions in accordance to the design requirements delivered by the network architecture team.
· Ensure that the production network environment complies with common security standards as mandated by the Danaher Information Security Policy.
· Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including wireless access points, firewall, routers, switches, controllers. SD-WAN, DHCP and DNS
· Ensure critical patches are deployed to all Firewalls and Network equipment.
· Updating network equipment to the latest firmware releases
· Reporting network status to key stakeholders
Highly Desirable:
· Experience with Change Control
· Solid experience coordinating production issues across different IT groups.
· Experience communicating with users with varying levels of technical expertise to provide updates on escalated events.
· Solid technical background with an ability to give instructions to a non-technical audience
· Customer-service oriented with a problem-solving “can do” attitude
· Excellent written and verbal communications skills
· Experience with configuration both Wide and local area networks (LAN/WAN)
· Experience with configuring firewalls, port forwarding, inbound & outbound firewall policies, NAT rules and Subnetting
· Experience setting up VPN including both remote dial in and site to site
· Experience with configuration and support of wireless networks
· Experience with VLANs, routing, switching
· Experience with Radius configuration and setting up 802.1x policies
· Experience with configuring routers (PPPoE, PPTP, L2TP) and basic networking protocols, DHCP, DNS, ARP, QOS etc
Beneficial:
· Relevant networking certification (Cisco or similar)
· Product experience in Fortinet, SonicWall, Aruba, Cisco, or Palo Alto
· Experience of Office 365 and MS Azure Support.
Operating Hours
· Working 5 days per week
· 8.5 Hour shifts with 1 hour lunch break
· Flexible working on site, at home or in office
Job Type: Temporary contract
Contract length: 4-6 months
Salary: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
