Terms: Part-time (20 hours) number of hours negotiable, expect weekend work
Salary: UK minimum pay/age rate. Reviewed after 12 week probation period
About the role
We are looking for part-time Retail Sales people to work in our family-run Home and Lifestyle Destination store.
You will be working in the Home, Gifting & Fashion departments. We are looking for a confident and kind sales person, who is happy to work as a Team - contributing to all the day-to-day running of the department, including, serving on tills, merchandising and keeping the store clean and tidy.
Responsibilities
General responsibilities (but not limited to) include:
- Provide excellent customer service (product knowledge and recommendations based on customer needs)
- Conduct sales in a friendly, professional and polite manner without being pushy
- Replenish and display new stock, ensuring all displays are visually merchandised, clean and tidy
- Work as a Team to bring new ideas on how to grow departments
Candidate requirements
We are looking for people who are:
- A confident communicator, with great interpersonal skills
- A good visual eye to keep the department showrooms in excellent condition
- Enthusiastic and is willing to work in a team
- Experienced working on tills
- Takes direction but uses their own initiative to develop their ideas and is able to work autonomously
Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20 per week
Salary: From £10.42 per hour
