Overview
We are seeking a Network Administrator with a Systems Administration background to join our dynamic IT team. As a Network Administrator and Systems Administrator, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing our organization's computer networks, systems, and infrastructure. You will be responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting network issues, implementing security measures, and assisting with Server OS issues. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with a passion for networking and systems administration.

Requirements:
- 5 or more years of general IT experience.
- Provide technical support to end-users regarding network connectivity, VPN access, software, system-related issues, and server problem analysis and resolution.
- Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows Server (Linux preference)
- Understanding of network security principles and best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Proactive attitude towards learning and adapting to new technologies and processes.
- Microsoft IIS and related web-based system installation and support
- Working knowledge of ITSM tools such as ServiceNow
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of computer networks, including LAN, WAN, and wireless networks.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot network problems to ensure optimal network availability and performance.
- Configure, and maintain network hardware, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Implement network security measures, such as firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems, to protect sensitive data and prevent unauthorized access.
- Develop and document network policies, procedures, and standards.
- Assist in the planning and execution of system upgrades, including hardware and software installations, patches, and updates.
- In collaboration with teammates; conduct regular system backups and implement disaster recovery plans to minimize data loss and ensure business continuity.
- Obtain assistance from other technical resources (NOC staff, developers, etc.) to meet the project requirements.
- Assist in the monitoring and maintenance of server infrastructure, including Windows (knowledge or aptitude to learn the Linux operating system is a plus)
- Perform routine system and network maintenance tasks, such as user account management, software installations, and system performance tuning.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends related to networking and systems administration.
- Capable to setup tools and capture and interpret data from various tools such as Wireshark, and Syslog
Technology preferred and certifications:
- Cisco Catalyst 3850 switches
- Cisco ASA 5525 firewalls
- Barracuda Web Application firewalls
- Windows Server 2012, 2016, 2019, and 2022
- Hypervisor platforms to include Microsoft Hyper-V and VMware preferred.
- At least one of the following certifications is a plus: CCNA, MCSE, or other certifications that portray knowledge of networks and systems.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
