We have an exciting opportunity for a paralegal role, the position will involve providing paralegal assistance to the Digital, Technology and Operations Legal team, primarily assisting Legal Counsel with a PRA Remediation Programme in view of PRA Supervisory Statement 2/21 (SS2/21).
The role will entail document review, preparing and negotiating amendment agreements, drafting legal summaries, monitoring the progress of work and liaising with wider stakeholders. Moreover, the role holder will assist members of the Legal team in the delivery of the Remediation Programme, whilst being proactive in relation to their requirements in order to ensure that they continue to function and deliver effectively.

- Identifying, assessing, managing and reporting risks, taking proactive personal responsibility for ‘doing the right thing’ in compliance with regulatory requirements, frameworks and policies.
- Supporting the bank in meeting its business, legal, regulatory and stakeholder obligations.
- Liaising closely with other members of the team or wider business areas for a consistent and co-ordinated approach.
- Communicating in an open, clear, concise and well-structured way to share information and solutions.
- Ensuring all tasks are delivered in a pragmatic manner and meet the “keep it simple” test.
What you’ll bring.
- Track record of drafting and negotiating agreements.
- Good understanding of legal analysis.
It would also be nice for you to have.
- Interested in financial services and gaining an exposure to a banking environment.
- Good experience of Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong commercial skills.
- Pragmatic and enthusiastic approach to undertaking tasks.
What else you need to know.
This is a full-time fixed term contract for 12 months on a hybrid working model located in either Milton Keynes or London.
