Job Description

The National Account Manager - Premium Watches:

  • To take full responsibility for achieving/exceeding financial targets for existing National Accounts, by developing and maintaining close working relationships with Directors, Buyers, Merchandisers and Regional Managers.
  • To manage the Watches of Switzerland, Chisholm Hunter, Fraser Hart and Beaverbrooks accounts.
  • To monitor market trends and competitor activity and contribute to the production of plans to grow the overall business.
  • To be responsible for the monthly and annual forecasting, budgeting and business planning processes, working closely with the Planning Manager.
  • To contribute to the selection process of new product lines for the UK market.
  • To help develop merchandising, display and POS initiatives particularly for National Account branch development.
  • To produce, analyse and take action upon all monthly sell out information from National Accounts, advising field sales force of National account branch performance on each sales territory.
  • To formulate and prioritise merchandising and staff training programmes for National Account staff, to be implemented personally and in conjunction with the retail development executive team.
  • To help formulate and implement incentive programmes for National Account staff.
  • To orchestrate key activities to be undertaken by the Retail Development Executives in National Account retailers and liaise accordingly with the respective buying and merchandising teams.
  • To assist with the planning and implementation of Sales Meetings with Retail Development Executives and Sales Executives, in relation to the provision of information for National Account activity.
  • To assist with other projects and duties from time to time as required.

The Successful Applicant

The Successful National Account Manager - Premium Watches:

  • A proven track record in a National Account Manager role
  • Good experience of working with a range of national retail accounts
  • Premium Watch / Watch / Premium Consumer product experience is required
  • Excellent commerciality with proven experience of JBPs, P&L negotiation, buyer interaction etc
  • A clear and effective communicator, both verbal and written
  • An ability to work collaboratively with both internal & external key stakeholders
  • Excellent sales & negotiation skills
  • Planning & organisational skills with a high level of task prioritisation
  • Understanding of retailer data contextualisation and its application to the market
  • Proactive attitude
  • Ability to multi-task whilst maintaining a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to build trust with others and manage without authority
  • Great interpersonal skills
  • Drive for results, with problem-solving approach.
