Job description
A loving family in Glen Cove, New York is looking for a friendly, cooperative nanny for their 7-month-old daughter. The ideal candidate for this role is someone who has experience working with infants. Also, the nanny must be warm and can be coolheaded. In addition, the nanny must be able to facilitate a fun, loving, and stimulating atmosphere for their daughter. To achieve this requires creating fun and safe activities, reading, talking, coordinating family calendar, keeping their things organized, and more.
The nanny must be well tempered, amenable, proactive, a self-starter, and know how to troubleshoot issues independently. Having a clean driver’s license is required for this position. Must be comfortable allowing grandparents to play with baby. Lastly, both parents have flexible schedules to work from home. Thus, the nanny must be comfortable working in close partnership with both parents.
This position is live-out only:
- The schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (40 hrs. a week.) Additional hours may be required with notice. So, an ideal candidate who is flexible.
Compensation & Benefits:
- This position is paid gross with overtime. This position is $25-$33 per hour, PTO (e.g, paid federal holidays, two weeks of vacation, and sick days.)
- A discretionary performance bonus.

Start Date: Begins on 06/20/2023. This is a long-term role.
Position Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Safety first.
- Pitch-in attitude regarding general maintenance and cleanliness of their child
- Follows parents’ approach to childcare and embraces family parenting style
- Manage daily care and supervision of their child
- Adhere to their child’s schedule (e.g., keeping nap and feeding schedule, any planned playdates and age appropriate activities.)
- Facilitate intellectual development (e.g., words, numbers, stories, puzzles, arts and craft, etc.)
- Facilitate social development, helping to make connections with friends and attending playdates and classes
- Ability to plan fun activities, keeping their child active and engage
- Ability to make simple meals for their child. (Baby-led weaning approach)
- Laundry for their child.
- Manage all aspects of their child’s property with utmost cleanliness and organization, including meals/snacks and clean-up, hanging clothes after laundry, cleaning toys/books, diaper bags, etc.
- Unloading and loading dishwasher
- Light meal prep (e.g. wash, cut, and simply cook a vegetable) for both baby and adults
- Put pre-made meals in oven
Qualifications:
- US, Work Authorization
- Minimum of 2 years of professional Nanny experience
- Newborn experience
- Toddler experience
- Driver’s License
- Up to date on all vaccinations
- Covid vaccination and boosted
- CPR and First-Aid certifications
