At The Rock Music School we offer rock music lessons for children and adults. From beginner to intermediate and advanced, students can learn either guitar, bass, drums, vocals or keyboard AND how to play in a rock band at our brand new venue in Maidstone town centre opening soon!
Our aim is for our students to build confidence through performance, learn new skills and become part of a fun and friendly community. Students will have one-to-one lessons and group band lessons at our venue in Maidstone town centre, opening in the next couple of months.
Members have the option to perform at the Kids Rock Festival every year in front of thousands of people, free tickets to the festival, free private events every two months, plus many more amazing membership benefits all included in the monthly subscription.
We are looking for experienced music teachers who are enthusiastic, friendly and who genuinely love what they do! We need to build a team of music teachers who are dedicated, reliable and able to work together to help grow this fantastic business.

We are looking for:
Guitar teachers
Bass guitar teachers
Drum teachers
Vocal teachers
Keyboard teachers
And band teachers
Responsibilities:
To teach children and adults electric guitar, bass guitar, drums (electric), keyboard, vocals and/or how to play in a band via one-to-one sessions and group lessons at our venue in Maidstone.
To ensure every lesson is video recorded for students.
To ensure our students are progressing with their chosen instrument and to place them in the relevant classes: beginner, intermediate or advanced.
To match students together in the relevant age and ability group to form a band.
To ensure the venue is clean, tidy and safe for students at all times. (We will have a cleaner every morning to do deep cleans).
To communicate with parents of students to inform them of their progress in a friendly and professional manner.
To be knowledgeable of The Rock Music School and what we offer all of our members (training will be provided).
To train and prepare the bands who want to perform at local venues and at the Kids Rock Festival.
To promote and work at our events for members.
To ensure our students are happy, progressing and stay with us for a long time.
Hours:
The venue will be open from 9am-9pm every day, so some flexibility is required, but we can discuss hours at interview stage.
Skills required:
Experience with teaching children and/or adults either guitar, bass, drums, vocals or how to play in a band.
Extensive knowledge of rock music.
Experience with excellent customer service.
Highly motivated.
Honest and reliable.
Driven.
Enthusiastic and friendly.
Able to work as part of a team and independently.
Willing to undertake an enhanced DBS check.
Benefits:
A salary of £20 per hour for music lessons. Any other work will be paid at £10 per hour (events etc).
