The Company
We are Ribble Farm, a thriving business with over 50 years of history based in Longridge just off the M6. We supply a wide range of products such as fruit, vegetables, dairy, meat, dry goods and sundries etc etc to a fantastic customer base that includes restaurants, hotels, schools, arenas and large sporting clubs. Our coverage spans across the north of England with pockets in the south.
We work with a number of local and international suppliers in order to make sure we source the finest products on the market, from basic vegetables and dry goods up to the most exotic ingredients for our customers dishes’. Once received, they make their way through our multi-temperature supply chain to ensure the customer is receiving the highest quality of product available.
This role plays a critical part in ensuring that customer receives it on time and with a friendly attitude, as a representative of the Ribble brand.
The Role
Due to growth, we are looking to recruit a number of drivers to join our team.
Your daily responsibilities will be:
- Delivering a number of orders to customers in a particular area.
- Occasionally pick up our local supplier orders.
- Loading your van in order to make sure all products are present and of the quality required.
- Serving with a smile, building relationships and eventually trust with your customers over a period of time.
- Driving safely and responsibly within the law. You will be representing the Ribble brand in a positive way while on UK roads.
- To accurately record data such as delivery times, proof of deliveries, fridge temperatures and returned products.
- Conducting checks on your vehicle when required to make sure it’s road worthy, although we have a full-time mechanic on site to assist.
- Filling your van up with fuel daily.
What you will need
- A valid UK/EU/EEA Driving Licence which has been held for 12+ months, with no more than 3 penalty points on.
- To be someone who is about passionate about people and always strives to deliver a quality service to your customers.
- A positive attitude.
- An approachable manner.
- To demonstrate reliability.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
- An ability to drive within Laws of Highway England’s code.
- A CPC qualification (for 7.5 tonne & above) would be desirable given we have a number of them, although not essential for this role.

- Light Commercial Vehicle & Delivery Drivers: 1 year (preferred)
