MRI Radiographer - Clifton Park Hospital, York.
Location: Clifton Park Hospital, York
Salary: £36,500 - £40,500 pro rata per annum
MRI Radiographer
Due to the planned increased expansion of our Radiology provision, an exciting new opportunity has arisen.
We are looking for a suitably qualified MRI Radiographer to join our newly formed team. As a key member of the department, you will support the MRI Team Leader in the provision of MRI services.
Ideally, you will be an experienced MRI Radiographer who possesses highly developed knowledge and a wide experience base.
You will have key relationships with the hospitals departments and will be interacting with Consultants on a daily basis so excellent organizational and communication skill are essential.
As an MRI Radiographer, you will be part of a close-knit innovative team. The successful applicant will have an enthusiastic out look to ensure the delivery of a high diagnostic imaging service.
The role will include some non-clinical responsibilities such as ordering stock, audits, and assisting in the booking of patient’s appointments and answering telephone enquiries when necessary.
The department operates from 08.00 – 20:00 on most days so there is some requirement to be flexible over working hours. It is likely that as the facility expands there will be a necessity to work on some weekends.
The candidate will need to have excellent communication skills, good attention to detail and be flexible with their work patterns. You must demonstrate strong customer service skills.
You must have the relevant Radiographic qualifications and be registered with the HCPC.
Key responsibilities include:
- Responsible for the provision of high quality MRI service.
- To participate in the provision of a high standard of patient care and treatment
- Ability to participate in on call Rota and work evening / weekends as required
- Processing radiology bookings
- RIS/PACS processes
- Ensuring that the agreed standards of patient care and confidentiality are maintained in accordance with Ramsay policie
What you will bring with you
- Diploma or degree in diagnostic Radiography
- HCPC registered
- SOR IV cannulation certificate desirable
- Min 5-year post qualification would be an advantage
- Sound written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
- Passion to deliver high quality diagnostic services
- Evidence of post registration development

Clifton Park Hospital opened in 2006 and is located on the outskirts of York. The modern purpose built hospital has been rated ‘Good’ by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and has first-class medical facilities including 24 beds, two theatres, a day care unit, a large outpatient department with X-ray facilities and on-site physiotherapy, including a small gym area.
In 2018, the hospital opened a new outpatient department with 11 consulting rooms, two treatment rooms and x-ray facilities.
