MOT Tester - Dartford, Kent

Salary: c. £33,000 plus benefits and bonus package

You’ll be working Monday to Friday, with alternate Saturdays

We’re thrilled to be offering a new opportunity for an MOT Tester to be a part of our trusted, reputable team here at the AA Autocentre.

Working to the highest DVSA Testing standards, you will carry out MOT’s for our customers.

In quieter times, you may also provide professional and effective support to the team, carrying out minor repairs.

You’ll get to do this in a state-of-the-art workshop with all facilities and equipment on site!

What will I be doing?

  • Utilising your experience to carry out MOT testing in accordance with DVSA Standards
  • Conducting minor repairs as required
  • Ensuring that all work complies with Quality and Health and Safety standards
  • Completing and providing accurate vehicle defect reports to our business customers
  • Ensuring correct use and maintenance of all tools and equipment
  • Keeping up to date with the latest technology across the market

What do I need?

You’ll be able to communicate clearly and effectively, to provide our Service advisor with accurate information from the MOT test. In addition, you will also have either

  • A valid class 4 and 7 MOT testing licence
  • An NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or a City and Guilds Level 2/3. Alternatively, you'll have time served experience and we’ll upskill you with an Automotive Technician Accreditation course
  • A valid driving license with no more than 6 penalty points
