Job description
Following the recent disaggregation of shared service arrangements between Peterborough and Cambridgeshire, Peterborough has the chance to refresh its identity and create a positive and dynamic culture as well as develop structures that are fit for purpose within our people services directorate.
We are looking to appoint someone with the passion and drive to lead on the monitoring of Education and Social Care transport contracts for Peterborough City Council.
This is a new and exciting role working as part of the council’s Passenger Transport Operations Team. You will contribute to the provision of Education and Social Care Transport by taking a lead role in the monitoring of contracts and improving quality with transport suppliers by supplying feedback and guidance. You will work with the Contracts Officer in ensuring that service standards are met and guidance is adhered to.
You will have some experience of contract monitoring ideally within a transport field and an understanding of contract management and supplier engagement.
This will be a demanding role in a very busy team. You will have knowledge and experience of working with a range of administrative systems and you will be able to quickly develop new or improved processes to support the development of this exciting new position.
The successful applicant should:
We aspire for Peterborough to be one of the best places in the country for young people to grow, learn, develop and achieve – and one of the best places for colleagues to work and thrive in our education system
We are proud to serve the diverse communities of Peterborough and want our workforce to reflect this diversity, which we believe is beneficial for our employees, the organisation and the communities we serve
