Job description
We are looking for an experienced and creative monitoring and evaluation manager to join the West of England Combined Authority. You will shape our approach to understanding and learning from the programmes we deliver. As we build up our delivery of significant new investments, we need to understand the impact of our work. By building our evaluation framework and supporting project managers, you will ensure that we can reflect on our progress and can direct public investment efficiently.
With a strong background in monitoring and evaluation, you will have the confidence to drive forward the Combined Authority’s framework. You will be creative and pragmatic in seeking to answer the strategic questions raised in our delivery, and proactive in developing partnerships with our stakeholders. You will be enthusiastic about supporting the Combined Authority’s investment in the region, with extensive experience of designing and communicating research to inform strategic decisions. This is an exciting time to join the West of England Combined Authority. In the last year nearly three quarters of a billion pounds of new investment has been secured for the region. New plans are in place to deliver on Mayoral priorities to improve transport, skills and housing for our residents, take decisive action to tackle the climate emergency, and to support communities facing the cost-of-living crisis. There is a relentless focus on delivery to put the West of England on the map for regional, national and global success.
Led by the regional Metro Mayor, the West of England Combined Authority brings together three local councils, the Local Enterprise Partnership and works with communities, other public services, and industry to deliver for the region.
