Role Summary


We are on the journey of building the fourth generation of our Aviation Safety Management software and mobile is a critical part of the success of this project.


Reporting to the SMS Development Director, we are looking for an energetic experienced mobile developer to help us reach the next level of strategic growth and development.


The Mobile Engineer will be pivotal to the design and implementation of a state-of-the-art mobile application. You will have the opportunity to be involved in building our mobile strategy and vision.

Role and Responsibilities


  • Implementation of our mobile framework working collaboratively with the product team and other technical leads.
  • Collaborating on design and UX to deliver usable, accessible, and visually impactful results.
  • Support the entire application lifecycle.

Essential Skills


  • A passion for technology
  • At least 3 years’ experience as a mobile developer
  • In-depth knowledge of at least one Native app language (e.g. Kotlin, Java, Swift or Objective C)
  • Experience using Android Studio and/or Xcode
  • Experience of React Native
  • Experience with web development using React, JavaScript and TypeScript.
  • Familiarity of good UI/UX practices with the ability to get involved in the design process.
  • Full understanding of the iOS and Android App development and release lifecycle. Including provisions of certificates, sideloading, releasing to app store/play store.
  • Experience of test platforms and Unit Test tooling for mobile app development
  • Experience working with AWS
  • Good understand of security standards and best practice.
  • Delivering software using Agile methods (scrum, XP, etc)
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and a strong command of the English language

Desirable Skills


  • Experience with Node or Java API
  • Have a keen interest in aviation.
