Role Overview
As HR Assistant, you will be working within the HR Services team to provide comprehensive
administrative support in all aspects of the work of the HR department, but with particular focus on
absence management administration, recruitment administration, the maintenance of HR system
records and pension administration.
Functional Responsibilities/Key Tasks
- Responding to general HR queries from both employees and managers
- Knowledge of processing all information onto our HR System (iTrent) including new starts,
- Maintain the HR system (iTrent) to ensure employee details are kept up to date
- Support internal users of the iTrent system, providing advice and solving problems as
- Create reports from iTrent for managers
- Taking personal ownership for resolving issues, but escalating where appropriate to an
- Liaising with payroll on queries
- Updating employee records on the payroll system
- Carrying out any other duties as required to assist in the smooth running of the HR
- Assisting with the recruitment process; interview scheduling, CV screening, liaising with
- Maintaining vacancies matrices
- Updating absence records and filing absence paperwork
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
- Good educational background, good standard of written and spoken English essential
- Certificate in Personnel Practice or similar would be desirable
- Computer literate, familiarity with Microsoft Office applications
- Numerate, able to manipulate, analyse and present data to provide meaningful management
- Able to work accurately and demonstrate attention to detail
- Able to work flexibly on both routine and more complex tasks
- Able to remain calm under pressure
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, able to listen carefully and respond
- Good problem-solving skills
- Able to work collaboratively as part of a team and proactive in offering assistance to
- Keen to look for ways to continuously improve the HR processes and play an active role in
