We are currently on the search for an ambitious & experienced Mixologist who can build, develop and motivate while creating and delivering cocktails of the highest standard to our guests. We are passionate about creating unique cocktails and drinks that reflect our style as well as the style of our surroundings. Successful candidates will be friendly, hardworking and customer-focused. He or she will keep smiling even on the busiest of days, so that guests only ever experience first-class, flawless drinks and service.
The bar at Tales of Tea is an intimate & unique space that is located in the stunning newly renovated Undercroft of St Mary’s Guild hall which is located in Coventry city’s historic Cathedral Quarter, astonishingly escaped bombing raids in the Second World War. We are part of No Ordinary Hospitality Management that have several sites across the UK including the old Cistercian Abbey ; Coombe Abbey Hotel is located on a beautiful country park. We have created a space where locals and visitors alike can enjoy innovative, crafted cocktails & drinks in the most welcoming environment. An escape from the every day.
Ideally you will have similar bar experience and background within bars & restaurants, passionate about hospitality, and obsessively detailed about little touches, demanding the very best from yourself, you will also be a tip top mixologist, who can inspire the team & guests alike. You will have a thirst for knowledge coupled with a desire to give your guests the very best service, standards and product.

A flavour of the Role
- Develop a culture of confidence and encouragement to engage with guests, seeking feedback on a regular basis, get to know the ‘regulars’ and acknowledge loyalty
- Assess bar guests’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
- Stock control &ordering of products
- Adhering to budgets, increasing profits and managing cash flow
- Demonstrate a high standard of bar and personal presentation
- Mix and prepare alcoholic or non – alcoholic (hot/cold) beverages for bar and restaurant
- Uphold, embody and maintain high standards of Tales of Tea bar.
- Help design the cocktail menu & Create unique drinks
- Providing a positive and friendly guest experience when interacting with customers
- Keeping a well-stocked bar with an adequate supply of liquor, beer, wine, mixers, ice, napkins, straws, glassware, and other accessories
- Cleaning the bar and work area to maintain a sanitary environment
- Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
- Complete opening and closing duties, including health and safety procedures, to ensure compliance and quality assurance of standards are maintained.

- A friendly and outgoing personality
- A passion for providing the best customer service possible
- Previous bartending or mixologist experience
- The ability to remain calm under pressure
- Extensive Knowledge of Drink Mixing and Garnishing
- Outstanding knowledge on cocktails, spirits, soft drinks, wine and beer
- Creativity
- Eligible to work in the UK or have a valid UK work permit/visa
- Have a passion for hospitality (if you know, you know!)
- Have a great eye for detail
- Always give great service
- You’ll be a team player with bags of enthusiasm and a big smile

Schedule:
- 8 hour shifts
- Weekend work
- Evening shifts Thursday – Saturday
Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract
Part-time hours: 20-35 per week
Salary from minimum – room to discuss higher subject to experience
£ 9.50 - £15 per hour
