Job description
We are seeking an experienced MIG Welder to join our existing team at Unit 20 Empire Close, Empire Industrial Park, Aldridge, WS98UQ. The successful applicant will be involved in the manufacture of aerial platform chassis and excavator bases for major OEMs.
The ideal candidate will be able to:
- MIG weld to a consistent high standard.
- Be experienced working with carbon steel 1mm up to 10 mm thick.
- Be coded, or be able to demonstrate welding of a coded standard.
Employment:
- Working Hours.
- Monday to Thursday – 06:00 to 16:30 hours
- Friday – 06:00 to 11:00 hours
- Morning break is 10:00 to 10:10 hours (paid).
- Lunch is 13:00 hours to 13:30 hours (unpaid).
- Tea, coffee facilities are provided by the company for rest periods.
- Holidays for the year 2022 are 9 Statutory and 25 domestic days.
- Job Type: Temp’ to Full-time, Permanent after 13 weeks.
- Salary: £11.50 - £12.00 per hour dependant on demonstratable skills.
We are looking for a reliable person who takes pride in their work and will be able to work well within the existing, small, but growing & supportive team. Overtime is currently regularly available.
Please note, a weld test will be required as part of the interview process where, due to current COVID guidelines, they would need to bring their own PPE (welding mask, safety boots, overalls & gloves).
