Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity to join Insurance Pensions and Investments IA&O Middle Office. You'll provide insightful, high quality sophisticated output, advice and guidance, implementing control and tailored to senior strategic partner and colleague needs. This will be through operating as a functional specialist focusing on Asset Transitions of Corporate Pension Schemes onto the Scottish Widows Workplace Savings platform.
What you'll be doing...
Attend client and/or project calls, producing and leading Asset Transition plans circulated with internal colleagues and external Trustees and Advisors.
Produce & run Asset Transition runbook for trading to coordinate internal teams involved in the transaction steps, ensuring alignment with external third parties.
Assess pre-funding requirements, produce pre-funding legal document in agreement with client produce & supervise settlement of cash ensuring ultimately all cash flows to the right end destination accounts.
Review transition methodologies for each scheme, on a case-by-case basis, to understand the most efficient method given the particulars of the activity including inspecie, re-registration and all cash transactions.
Review out-of-market risk and similarly any double market exposure for all schemes during asset transition timeline and mitigate where possible.
Coordinate with ceding provider to ensure member data, valuations, cash settlement and final transition costs are shared and instructed in a timely manner.
Coordinate with Fund Managers to ensure trade notification timings meet expectations, ensure trading queries are resolved including clarification of pre-notification requirements and understanding of price spreads and any applicable dilution levies.
Engage with Policy Holder Data Team with regards to member queries, data manipulation and policy data uploads.
Calculate final transaction costs for schemes on request as required.
Build and instruct manual trades for asset transitions to Box Oversight, analysing internal disinvestments to ascertain if they will result in any fund closures.
Support with pitching for new business/ Request for Proposal ("RFP") submissions including producing transaction cost estimates to support new business requests.
What we need from you...
Experience in Financial services (Investments/ Capital Markets)
Understanding of Asset Transition desirable
Excellent attention to detail
Excellent Communication skills both written or verbal
Ability to engage and manage a range of stakeholders internal and external, including at a senior level
