WRc, part of RSK Group Ltd, are seeking to appoint a Microbiologist on a full time, permanent basis out of their Swindon office.
The position is a hybrid arrangement for both office and home working depending on requirements.
As a Consultant in our public health microbiology business area you will be supporting the delivery of project outputs across our three core microbiology workstreams; current & emerging hazards; target identification; and decision-making, which span across our consulting and commercial.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for microbiology consultancy projects.
- Support Principal Consultant in delivery of high-quality project outputs.
- Potential to support analytical method development if required.
- Support the development of decision-making tools to support our clients.
- Data processing, analysis, and interpretative report writing.
- Communicating with internal and external parties.
Essential Skills:
- BSc or MSc in Microbiology, ideally specialising in public health or similar field.
- Experience with planning experimental programmes in the field and in laboratory settings.
- Demonstrates an understanding of microbiological data and how to interpret the outputs.
- Experience in technical report writing.
- Experience with managing own workload and prioritisation of tasks, and delivering high-quality outputs in a timely manner.
- An ability to improve business performance/procedures and delivery of outputs in a consulting and/or commercial environment.
