Due to continuous growth & contract awards Gilmour Facility Services are currently recruiting a Plumbing & Heating engineer.
Company Overview:
Gilmour Facility Services provide the installation and maintenance of Plumbing, heating, gas, HVAC throughout the Scotland and the north of England. We mainly carry out works within the commercial sector with a small amount of domestic installs when required.
Job Roles & Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be carrying out installation and maintenance works on various contracts throughout Scotland depending on the qualifications held at present. Majority of works are carried out within 1hrs of our Ayrshire based office with a small amount of working away if/when required.
Gilmour Facility Services invests heavily in training and are willing to upskill the successful candidate in return for loyalty within the company.
- Installation & Maintenance of domestic and commercial HVAC plant and equipment.
- Fault finding and repairing domestic and commercial HVAC plant and equipment through accurate diagnosis of faults and remedial works required.
- Preparing quotes (and highlighting opportunities for quotes) for remedial works identified on maintenance/other visits.
- Identifying and ordering replacement parts where needed.
- Undertaking surveys to identify scopes of works/planned maintenance.
- Completing risk assessments, reports and other documents as required.
- Liaising regularly with management regarding work progress and other relevant matters to ensure the smooth running of works.
- Putting the customer first, ensuring that communication is polite, informative, and professional, their site procedures are respected and always left clean and tidy, and that the highest levels of health and safety are observed.
- Completing other tasks as required to support the wider business.
