Job description

Because of exciting new plans in the works for the rest of 2023 (and beyond!) Homebase are recruiting across multiple teams, including our commercial team! As such we're seeking an experienced Merchandising Manager to join us on a permanent basis as soon as possible!

Working hours: 35 hours per week, Monday - Friday (8 am - 4 pm OR 9 am - 5 pm). Should you require flexible working arrangements, please let us know and we will do our very best to accommodate these where possible!

Salary: We are offering a base salary between £54,000 - £77,000 (depending upon experience) plus annual bonus earning potential!

Location: We operate a hybrid working policy which means that you decide what works best for you! If that means working from home, then work from home. If you prefer to work in an office then you're welcome to work from the office. For this particular role, you will need to work from our Milton Keynes, Store Support Centre for 2 days per week (Tuesdays and Wednesdays). This may increase to 3/4 days per week for short periods in the run-up to our peak seasons.

Job Role Purpose:

As an experienced merchandiser, you'll already have a good idea of what the role involves, but essentially you'll be responsible for effectively managing the day-to-day productivity/output of your specified category. Leading a team of Merchandisers and Merchandise Assistants, you will lead the team from the front and deliver results.

Key Responsibilities (Day to day duties):

  • Full responsibility in managing the specified category as a Merchandise Manager
  • Along with senior stakeholders you will be heavily involved in effective range building, wales and inventory management merchandise planning whilst also overseeing range planning both online and in our stores.
