Job description
Marketing Co-ordinator/Merchandiser – Vicimus
Are you a dynamic content creator who can tell a great story with eye-catching photos and pristine written copy? Would you like to use your talents to write about cars and the people who sell and service them, all while being part of a fun and supportive organization? If so, do we have a dream opportunity for you with one of our clients in the automotive space!
Vicimus is now searching for a Marketing Co-ordinator/Merchandiser to support one of our Automotive Retail clients. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, this position is a tremendous opportunity for a recent graduate who would like to launch an automotive marketing career.
The successful candidate will have a strong interest in marketing, and will have graduated from a Journalism, Digital Marketing or similar program. You will be required to work traditional business hours, on site, with the occasional evening or Saturday.
How will you spend your day?
- Social Media – Our client has three GTA dealerships and several digital properties that each have presence on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. Being a social butterfly, you’ll have no problem collecting photos and stories to pump out some fantastic daily content.
- Merchandising – You’re going to be writing about cars - a lot of them! Do you know the difference between a Toyota Corolla LE and SE? Don’t worry, we’ll help you figure it out as you become the gatekeeper of our online vehicle descriptions.
- Reputation Management – We get a lot of Google reviews. Because we care about every interaction with every customer, we need to respond to those reviews. For the most part, this involves thanking our wonderful customers. However, you will be called upon to use your words and discretion to handle customer objections and refer them to our team leaders.
- Campaign Tracking – Campaigns, Leads, Conversions – oh my! As you learn more about building digital marketing campaigns, you will also be tracking our results from month to month, eventually becoming the subject matter expert.
What skills will you bring to the role?
- Superior command of the English language, both written and verbal
- Able to write creatively to increase engagement on Social Media
- Ability to take eye-catching photos and edit them where necessary
- Proficient with Microsoft Word and Internet searches
- Basic understanding of Photoshop, iMovie or Adobe Premiere would be asset, but is not required
- High energy, detail oriented with a positive attitude
- Able to maintain confidentiality of pertinent data
Why work here? – Because Vicimus is not only the next stop in your career. It’s the journey.
Upon request, Vicimus will provide reasonable accommodation for persons with disabilities to support participation of candidates in all aspects of the recruitment process. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment.
