Assistant Merchandiser

We’re looking for an Assistant Merchandiser to join our fast growing cosmetics company. In this role, you will be assisting our Lead Merchandiser. This is a part time role, with opportunity to be made into a full time role based at our HQ in Cwmbran, South Wales.

Cosmetics experience is not essential but would be advantageous.

Your core responsibilities will continue to grow as you familiarise yourself with the company, product range, the industry and competitors.

Some initial core responsibilities will include, but will not limited to:

  • Receiving deliveries – ensuring stock levels are correct and in line with packing list.
  • Passing over stats for incoming deliveries to Lead Merchandiser
  • Daily stock checks on Tiktok shop and Shopify.
  • Working daily with Lead Merchandiser to confirm direction of stock implementation.
  • Analysing weekly & monthly data and assisting Lead Merchandiser on Monthly report for CEO.
  • Support Lead Merchandiser with any new launches or retail activations ongoing.
  • Meet monthly with Lead Merchandiser to assess direction of working and to ensure KPI’s are being met.
  • Lead monthly stock check with warehouse teams. Reporting back to Lead Merchandiser.
  • Signing out stock for any promotions or PR.
  • Organise any promotions and flash sales on a weekly/monthly basis, working closely with the Social & Marketing team to align with marketing calendar.

Person Specification:

The ideal candidate will;

  • Experience in a retail Merchandising environment, ideally with E-commerce experience
  • Strong understanding of the balance between DTC and wholesale, and brand/commercial.
  • Analytical thinker and technical
  • Ability to interpret site data and metrics
  • Ability to manage and motivate themselves whilst demonstrating own competencies internally – playing a “hands on” role whenever necessary
  • Organisation skills
  • Ability to evolve with the role and adapt to suit expectations as the position develops
  • PC literate
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • 1+ years experience in a similar type of post (salary dependent on level of experience)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 24 per week

Salary: £14,000.00-£16,000.00 per year
