What's the role about?
As part of our Merchandising department, you'll be joining our as our Branch Assistant Merchandiser, who is responsible of supporting the Merchandiser with planning and trading of the division to drive sales, maximise profit and minimize markdowns.
Who you are
- You have previous experience in Head Office Merchandising at either Assistant Merchandiser or Senior MAA level
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- Commerciality awareness
- Passion to develop a long-term career within Merchandising
- Attention to detail and strong communication skills- both verbal and written
- Team player and ability to work with other functions of the business
- Committed to helping develop the Trainee Merchandisers within the team
- Well organised with strong time management skills
- Keen interest in systems both allocation and reporting
What you'll be doing
- Managing allocations across all channels across the global estate against a planned group launch date. Ensuring product is allocated according to is planned ROS and grade reporting back any concerns to your merchandiser and the product team
- Reviewing trade at line level via ROS to build stock levels by store to ensure we are maximising our opportunity to drive a high full price sell through.
- Utilising functionality within our allocation system to meet sales demand at a micro level
- Weekly review of product performance by channel to identify and react to commercial opportunities that will support UK, international, Web & online partner needs whilst feeding back into the merchandiser and product teams
- Utilising our warehouse information portal to ensure allocation to delivery
- Reviewing in-season store and market opportunities or risks at category level through the grading hierarchy all whilst considering season buy
- Monthly analysis of store performance vs stockholding and managing store recalls taking into consideration best use of stock across our estate
- Developing strong working relationships across our departments including the wider merchandising team, retail and logistics
