Job description
Fixed-term contract ending December 2023
Coventry University is looking for a dedicated mentor who can bring experience, enthusiasm and a drive to support others in building their confidence and achieving their ambitions.
The role is to deliver inclusive support to all participants through proactive engagement and pre-emptive interventions based on understanding of each participant’s journey, moments that matter and data gathered. For example, by overviewing participant case history.
The mentor will be expected to design, manage and continuously develop effective participant success plans to support, motivate and challenge participants, thereby empowering them to make positive change to ensure progression and improve skills, employment or integration.
The role is based in Fab Lab Coventry, a unique and informal city-centre based makerspace that brings together local citizens, university students, employers and SMEs, to provide digital and traditional manufacturing skills training, work experience opportunities and access to production equipment.
