Secure24 are recruiting professionals to train as front-line Secure Ambulance Technicians. This is a specialist role which will see you primarily working with subjects detained under the Mental Health act, or who present with challenging behaviours or risks to others. Our clients include the NHS, Police, Private Hospitals, Social Services, local crisis teams and The Criminal Justice Service.

We offer a comprehensive internal training programme which covers physical intervention training, first aid & online learning modules. Our Training Manager provides continual training throughout the year to ensure that all employees maintain the highest standard of training and skills for this role.
We are looking for people who are enthusiastic for this rewarding role in Mental Health Sector, showing compassion towards our Service Users whilst safely conveying them to their destination.
Successful Candidates will be part of a 2-3 person trained crew, conveying Service Users in our fleet of industry leading and CQC rated ‘Outstanding’ vehicles.
This role is for an established and growing organisation with progression for the right candidate.
Experience in a Hospital or Care setting is beneficial but not essential. Secure24 is proud to employ Ex-Armed Forces personnel, who find working with us an excellent transition role out of the Armed Forces.
You must hold a B Class driving licence, with no more than 6 points.
C1 Class and/or Blue Light licence is preferred.
The Fulltime Salary starts at £28,000 rising to £31,200 following successful completion of 6 month probation, based on a 48-hr week. Shifts are 12 hours long and generally 10:00-22:00 with flexibility on start times.
Overtime available and paid pro rata, we do not bank hours.
Two Step recruitment process.
Step 1: Candidates will be invited to an online interview.
Step 2: Following successful interview, candidates will be invited to take part in a short fitness test where they will be required to obtain at leave level 5.4 on a multi-stage fitness test (bleep test).
Step 3: Following successful completion of the fitness test, candidates will be invited to attend a 2-day training course in Physical Intervention skills (paid at £100 per day following successful completion of 3 months service).
A conditional job offer may be made to candidates who are successful at the selection process, subject to a satisfactory DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance at Enhanced Level regarding vulnerable adults and children, receipt of satisfactory references, identity checks, right to work in UK checks, and an online check of your full UK driving license status.
