TruFrame Ltd is one of the largest independent manufacturers of uPVC windows and doors in the UK.
Job Purpose & Requirements:
Reporting to the Engineering Manager the successful candidate will be working as part of team who are responsible for maintaining and undertaking servicing of the manufacturing facility and its equipment, including (but not limited to): automated saw centres, plastic welding machines and automated cleaning machinery.
The candidate will also be responsible for assisting the Engineering Manager in the implementation of a full preventative maintenance program and undertaking activities to ensure machinery is kept at optimum performance; as well supporting in the completion of engineering projects and facility improvements.
The role will involve working within fast paced, dynamic manufacturing environment and the individual must be comfortable working on their own as well as within team.
Working rotating shifts of 06:00am – 14:00pm (Monday to Friday), 14:00pm – 22:00pm (Monday to Friday) and 22:00pm - 06:00pm (Sunday to Thursday).
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
- Take responsibility for efficiently maintaining and undertaking the servicing of the manufacturing facility and its equipment
- Effectively maintain equipment and machinery (which includes, but is not limited to): Automated saw centres, Plastic welding machines and Automated cleaning machinery
- Assist the Engineering Manager in the implementation of a full preventive maintenance program
- Proficient with 17th edition of the electrical regulations
- Competent and confident in working with all forms of electrical test equipment (e.g. MEGGAs, Multi-meters, Clamp meters, etc.)
- Effectively find faults on electrical control circuits, control systems and motors
- Capable of working with PLC control systems and computer-based operating systems
- Able to confidently undertake risk assessments
- Effectively assist with the writing of operating procedures
- Able to effectively undertake routine maintenance
- Ensure that daily logs are coherent, recorded accurately and regularly maintained
- Able to confidently read engineering and technical drawings (without relying on regular support)
- Undertake root cause analysis
- Implement effective corrective actions
- Confident in the application of relevant health and safety knowledge to the working environment
- Competent and proven ability to work with low and extra low voltages (24Vdc to 1000Vac)
- Computer literate and experience with Microsoft Office programmes
