Our Service
The training team offer a variety of courses to corporate clients to raise awareness of mental health in the work place, support staff to feel better able to manage their own mental health and support colleagues, and to support employers to be more aware of and motivated to support staff wellbeing.
You will be responsible for delivering our market-leading content to an array of corporate clients, while playing a key role in the development of future products and titles alongside knowledgeable and experienced colleagues.
The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Leeds Mind as a Mental Health Trainer, delivering both remote and face-to-face courses to our corporate clients on topics relating to Mental Health and Wellbeing.
The role involves:
- Delivering Leeds Mind and wider training packages (up to 18.5 hours per week)
- Supporting the current training team in developing and evaluating existing and future training packages.
- Promotion of the training service to businesses and individuals.
- Providing shadowing / co-delivering to new trainers/volunteers.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Recognised teaching or training qualification (Level 4 and above)
- Proven experience of delivering training to a diverse range of stakeholders.
- At least 2 years working within a teaching/training setting.
- Working within a mental health setting.
- Designing, developing, and evaluating a wide range of learning interventions
- High level of oral, written, and non-verbal communication skills that engage, challenge, and aid the learning of delegates.
- Excellent group facilitation skills and awareness of group dynamics.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Solution focussed using initiative to offer new ideas.
- Organisational and time management skills to enable you to manage training schedules, work effectively and meet deadlines and objectives.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office (Power Point/Word) effectively and use Teams and Zoom for delivering online.
Hours – Full time, 37 hours per week
Scale - NJC Scale 6 points 18 to 22
Salary - £27,344 – 29,439 per annum
Contract – Permanent
