Job Title: Care Support Worker – Mental Health

Trust Location: Surrey & Borders Partnership NHS Trust

Pay rates: Day: £10.90, Saturday/Night: £15.37, Sunday/Bank Holiday: £19.95

About the Trust

Rated ‘Good’ in their most recent CQC report, Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust provides hospital-based and community services for people of all ages with mental ill-health and learning disabilities in Surrey and North East Hampshire as well as providing drug and alcohol services in Surrey and Brighton.

What you’ll be responsible for

· 1 Monitoring patients’ conditions and the results of treatment

· 2 Using initiative when responding to changes in a patients’ condition within own sphere of practices

· 3 Recognising limitations and escalating concerns

· 4 Responding to distressed patients in a non-threatening manner and attempt to reduce their feelings of isolation

The role will involve, but not be limited to you performing the above.

You’ll have the following qualification/experience:

· A minimum of 6 months paid experience in an Mental Health hospital environment within the last 3 years, holding a care certificate or NVQ.

· Over 12 months paid experience in an Mental Health hospital environment within the last 3 years.

· Undertake regular mandatory training*

*Depending on the Trust, you may require variable additional certification and skills.
