Job description
LHH are currently partnered with an Investment Bank who are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join them on an interim basis of 6 months. You'll will be working in a team of 11 and your responsibilities will be to provide support to the Head of Financial Planning and Analysis.
Key duties and responsibilities
- To undertake project work in the department, in particular the Spreadsheet audit.
- Assist in the Month end/ Year end process, which will include various month end tasks, including the posting of journals.
- Assist the Head of Financial Planning and Analysis with the annual budgeting process.
- Assisting with the monthly Proof and Recs.
- Daily Cash and Custody reconciliation.
- Provide assistance in completion of VAT, Corporation tax and S17/S18 returns.
- Assist in other departmental work as and when required.
- Business partnering with various areas within the business.
- To assist in the maintenance and review of procedure documentation for processes performed within the Finance function to ensure relevance and efficiency.
- Assisting with the role out and development of our new SAP Concur system invoices function.
- Assisting with the preparation of the annual PSA return.
Experience, skills and knowledge
Professional qualifications required
- Ideally you will be qualified and have up to 5 year's pqe.
- Alternatively, a strong part qualified candidate.
Experience Required
- Accounting /Finance experience within a Financial Services background.
Skills
- Essential - Competent in the use of MS Outlook, Excel and Word
- Desirable Experience of FLEXCUBE, ORACLE, SAP CONCUR
