MENSWEAR MULTI PRODUCT FASHION DESIGNER/PRODUCT DEVELOPER (ONLINE BRAND)
Our client is a rapidly growing online menswear brand based near Preston and now looking to recruit a talented and creative Multi Product Menswear Fashion designer /Product Developer to join their growing team. The successful candidate will have at least 2 years + as a Menswear street/athleisure designer /Product Developer for a successful brand and must demonstrate a creative menswear portfolio. Working closely with the directors and creative team, this is a exciting opportunity for the right candidates.
THE ROLE
Product Development
Research, Design & Develop on trend garments which are campaign worthy product
CAD, Tech Pack & Artwork scaling to ensure product comes back correct
Communicating with manufacturers /Suppliers from overseas e.g China / Turkey to produce samples from tech packs
Trend research,
Creating menswear ranges/collections
Developing products from initial tech pack stage through to final bulk production
Selecting new fabrics & trims
Approving lab dips
Providing styling & fit comments to the suppliers
Skilled in Illustrator.
Understand design and garment construction from a technical aspect.
Understanding of fabrics and trims.
Present ideas and concepts within design team, including creating mood boards & critical paths.
Keep up to date with fashion trends within the market.
Liaise with sales, marketing, buying and production team.
Plan and develop ranges.
Highly creative & innovative, with commercial awareness and being business orientated.
Working with design directors at briefing stage.
Knowledge of the brands history & DNA is essential for this role .
Understanding of the brands ethos, place in market and future plans.
The successful candidate will have at least 3 years + experience as a Menswear Designer/ Product Developer and creative portfolio) is essential
Head office based - 1 - 2 days remote
up to £40k depending upon experience
