If you are a Pharmacy Technician working in another sector and are keen for a new clinical challenge with a direct patient facing role, but you don't quite meet our criteria, we offer a band 4-5 progression programme at NGH, which you may be eligible for. As a department we are keen to support and develop our Pharmacy Technicians through their careers. Please feel free to contact us for further discussion of the band 4-5 progression programme or for any other information.
To be responsible for the provision of the patients’ own medicines to assigned wards.
This will include daily visits, drug history taking, assessment of patients’ own medicines and managing storage systems for this purpose.
To participate in the work of the Pharmacy Service by using technical skills. The technical aspects of medicine supply are organised and managed by technical staff. Those aspects of work with a professional dimension will require pharmacists’ supervision.
