Medical Laboratory Assistant/Phlebotomist | Pathology | Cambridge | Band 2/3 equivalent | Full Time | Monday to Friday – Permanent | Phlebotomy Training available
Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital, have an opportunity for a full time Medical Laboratory Assistant to join our team on a Full-time and Permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated self-starter to join a small yet busy team, therefore must be able to prioritise your work load. This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys working independently. You will be working sociable hours Monday to Friday with shift patterns between the hours of 8am and 6pm on a fair rota basis, with flexibility required.

Duties and responsibilities
- As an MLA, you will process new samples ensuring they are labelled correctly
- A key element of this role will be providing test results to Consultants in a timely and accurate manner
- Recording samples data into our systems accurately and efficiently
- Be the first point of call for the Consultants when they have questions about patient samples
. Who we're looking for
- Someone who is IT literate and happy to use multiple systems – training will be provided
- A motivated self-starter
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Phlebotomy Trained desirable but not essential as training will be provided
