Overview
Our client is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the world.
The Medical Equipment Planner will be responsible for planning and developing an equipment plan and associated infrastructure requirements to support all medical equipment for hospital construction projects from concept design to building activation.
Key responsibilities:
- Handle the cost of material estimates, assemble, and calibrate hospital equipment and instruments
- Prepare technical reports and demonstrate engineering hospital techniques and procedures to new technical staff members
- Review of construction drawings, equipment fittings
- Supervise hospital installation works and commissioning of medical and non-medical equipment
- Ensures that procurement of medical and non-medical equipment is within company regulations
- Responsible for staff training (managerial and technical) for individual and institutional capacity building
- Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Qualifications to be successful in the role:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Engineering
- At least 5 years of specialized experience in hospital equipment planning and management
- Experience in supervising installation works and commissioning of medical and non-medical equipment
- Knowledgeable in different types of healthcare environments, essential
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong communications skills in English both written and oral
- Knowledge of safety practices in the construction industry, including specifically, a background that indicates familiarity with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) safety requirements on construction projects.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
