Our Medical Assistants play a vital role of the overall care process that patients receive at Southview Medical Group, P.C
Our current opening is for Dr. Hunter in our Cardiology Office.
Hours are Monday through Friday, typically 7:45AM - 4:45PM, full time. Please note the clinic schedule below:
Monday AM - 119 Location / Monday PM - SVMG Location
Tuesday All Day - SVMG Location
Friday AM - SVMG Location
Wednesday/Thursday - SVMG Location, Add-on patients as needed
Duties include, but are not limited to: Escorting patients to exam rooms, obtaining and documenting chief complaints, medication histories, past medical histories, etc. electronically, taking and documenting vital signs electronically, assisting Physicians in the room as needed, cleaning and stocking exam rooms as needed, maximizing Physician's efficiency and time, performing and documenting EKG's, Injections, and procedures as required by Physicians, scanning and indexing various records/results, EKG's, incoming correspondence, etc. as needed, and other duties as assigned by Management.
PLEASE NOTE - This Medical Assistant is expected to travel to the STV 119 Clinic for Monday morning clinic and report back to the STV location Monday afternoon to finish the day.
Southview requires a High School Diploma/GED for this position.
Previous Medical Assistant experience and Medical Assistant Certification are strongly preferred.
Due to the high volume usage of Electronic Health Records, it is required that Medical Assistants have a strong background utilizing computers in a working environment.
Previous fast-paced Cardiology experience is strongly preferred.
Reliable transportation to/from 119 location is required.
