A Day on The Job
Planned Parenthood of Tennessee and N. Mississippi’s Health Center Training Specialist functions as a health center services expert who is directly responsible for providing center staff with the training needed to successfully adopt standardized processes, use of technology and systems to support health center operations. This includes in person and virtually led new hire training, skill refreshers, technical training, new system/service roll outs and soft skill development. This position can be based out of our Memphis or our Nashville Health Center and will involve travel between Memphis, Nashville and Knoxville to provide team-centered, small group and individualized training. When not providing training, the training specialist learns training content, consults with key partners, creates and updates training programs and materials and conducts associated administrative work such as training logistics, related communications, data collection and reporting,
Your Schedule
The Health Center Trainer will mimic our health center schedule(s), Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays or evenings based on organization training needs.

Compensation: The starting wage for this position is $20.00 to $25.00 an hour and is based upon experience and credentials.

To Succeed
The successful candidate for this role will require someone that is very organized, detail-oriented, can create and deliver meaningful training content, and can keep up in a fast-paced environment and department.
We need Someone
- with direct experience in a healthcare office setting, preferably urgent care, or other face paced practice and a minimum of three (3) years on the job healthcare training experience. A preference for someone with content creation and design skills.
- who aligns with the mission and values of Planned Parenthood and is able to demonstrate behaviors that represent the Affiliate’s Workplace Values.
- who is experienced with Microsoft Office tools and the use of in-person and remote delivery training tools such as, Prezi, GoToMeeting, GoogleMeet, Zoom, SharePoint, and/or other similar learning development and delivery tools.
- who has a strong commitment to developing and coaching others, possesses engaging facilitation and presentation skills for audiences at all levels and sizes and the ability to connect content being delivered to the audience and their individual needs.
- who can rapidly learn important organizational principles and new systems and tools and transfer knowledge to effective training programs.
