Job description

We are a busy OBGYN office looking for an organized computer literate Medical Assistant to be responsible for our healthcare facility’s patient care tasks. These tasks include answering phone calls, scheduling patient's appointments and surgeries, rooming patients, taking vital signs, cleaning instruments, assisting in procedures.

You must be able to keep patient’s information confidential and exercise patience when working with potentially difficult individuals. You must have attention to detail and prioritize tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities:

Collect Vital Signs.
Prep for specimen collection
Answer MA phone calls from patients
Respond to emails.
Schedule appointments, schedule surgeries.
Greet patients upon arrival.
Record patient’s information in the EMR system.
Data Entry tasks to document patient records within facility databases.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED
Medical Assistant License REQUIRED
Prior experience as a Medical Assistant REQUIRED
OBGYN office experience PREFERRED
Associate Degree Preferred.
Knowledge of healthcare practices, standards and medical terminology.
Advanced record- keeping abilities and proficiency in related software, such as Greenway Intergy, Provider Flow, Phreesia.
Proficient with Microsoft Office.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask
Bilingual (Spanish)
